| ooc It has reached a point where I can no longer ignore the fact that I'm posing Gyrax as being clever, what with the music composing and the parallel thinking while solving riddles, while at the same time being completely clueless, not being aware of when she's being annoying to Koraph, or that Silk is not a nice person. This would suggest she has high intelligence and low wisdom, when in fact it is the opposite. I figure I could either switch the numbers around, at the expense of her usefulness as a warrior, or I could subtly rework the character to being savvy but dim, in a Sam Gamgee sort of way. What do you think? This should technically be a post directed at the DM, but I'd really like everyone's opinion here. | |

| She could still be a great warrior... but still dimwitted. I mean, just look at anime in general. The main hero tends to be either klutz, a glutton, an idiot, or any combination, and yet when it comes to combat, they tend to excel. | |

| No, I meant a lot of her powers draw on her wisdom score for effect, while none depend on her intelligence. | |

| The way I see it is, flavor the character however you wish. Numbers may dictate that her personality should be the other way around, but where's the fun in that? In roleplaying, I think it would be a shame to limit yourself to what your numbers say you should be. Play her like you are, is my opinion, and leave the numbers alone!

| Keep the stats. Roleplay her however it feels natural. Don't worry about arbitrary numbers. Maybe she is very wise during battle but outside of it she gets a little... distracted? | |

| Yyyyeah... I was thinking of doing something like that, but there's still stuff like... you know... rolling for insight. She can figure out that the evil duke is lying, but couldn't realize her own teammates think she's weird? | |

| Well, of course she'd trust her own companions, but as a paladin, perhaps it's easier to spot evil people outside ofher party? I dunno. | |

| Okay. You're overthinking this but I'm gonna help you. Gyrax is selective. She's wise when she wants to be. She doesn't notice Koraph's ire because she doesn't care to. But if that Duke is trying to trap us? Then she cares. | |
